A Bit About Me
Jonel Powell was born in St. Kitts and Nevis. He is the elected representative for Constituency #2. He is currently serving his first term in office. His portfolios include the Ministry of Education, Youth, Sports, and Culture.
Jonel has been politically active since his teens through the Young Pamites Group. He later, at the young age of 19 served on the Central Basseterre Constituency Group Executive as Deputy Chairperson and Acting Chairperson.
Today he serves as Deputy Chairperson of PAM.
Jonel Powell won the 2020 national elections in St Kitts and Nevis and serves as the Minister of Education, Youth, Sports, and Culture.
Jonel is a lawyer by background, and the Managing Partner of the law firm, Grant, Powell & Co., and a Director of its affiliate entity Gibraltar Trust Company.
